PRAISE
This is a picture of us in Poland with Leonid and his wife Natasha who came to pick us up. They are friends of 24 years, having served with us in Russia as missionaries! What a blessing they were willing to come to Warsaw to get us!

Yes, we made it home. And we didn’t spend 10 hours at the border! We were through in less than an hour. Abe walked up to the front of the half mile line and said he was a Canadian volunteer with his wife and driver, and they told him to drive to the front of the line! Nothing ventured, nothing gained! We left at 10 Friday from Warsaw and got home at 9 in the evening. What an answer to prayer

A tire developed a problem so we had to stop and get it changed, driving very slowly from when we left the border until we got to the repair shop. But Leonid had called ahead and asked a friend for help and through contacts they were ready for us, quickly changed the tire, about 15 minutes max and we were back on the road. Thank You, Lord

We went to church yesterday and it was wonderful to see and hear all the ministry they are doing. Many refugees have come and Bible studies are held for seekers. People are getting saved and being ministered to. A beautiful testimony from Lilya who is working with refugees is that in February a couple weeks before the war started she said that they had prayed that God would bring them more people. Who could imagine!! When we had left the end of April our local church alone had processed some 3,000 refugees. God is at work

One refugee from the east was at church and it was her 91st birthday. Imagine fleeing at that age? She has 3 children and her two sons are pastors. Faithful life
PRAYER

It is good to be home but not too surprisingly we find ourselves quite tired. It is wonderful to be here, but we have been gone 5 months and it takes a little time to get settled in. The house was spotless and there were flowers and food to greet us. But we need a bit of time to breathe. Saturday and Sunday weren’t quite enough and Abe has to go to Kyiv tomorrow and has been preparing most of the day for that. Pray for us both to regain balance and renew our strength.

Pray for Abe’s meetings this week. He spent an hour on the phone catching up with Vera this morning. He leaves Tuesday for a 5-hour bus ride and will meet with her in the evening. Then on Wednesday morning he will be meeting with 4 of the leaders from the Baptist Union to talk about the present situation in Ukraine, what the needs are, and what does the future hold. A heavy task for Abe as he leads this meeting. Pray for him as he tells them what is on his heart and what he feels needs to be done. Pray that there will be a meeting of the minds and unity. This is just an initial meeting but they were very anxious to meet as soon as possible.
There is so much before us to do and to work through. So many things to pull together. Yes, it gets overwhelming. But one of the things that greeted us when we returned was the following calendar. Every time I see it, peace floods through my soul. It is not us who needs to provide everything. We can’t. Only God.
